• Payment Information: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information — Stripe handles all payment data securely.

• Provide, operate, and improve the ClearLedger service
• Display your financial accounts, balances, and transaction data on your personal dashboard
• Generate AI-powered financial insights and advice based on your financial data
• Process subscription payments and manage your account

3. Plaid Integration

ClearLedger uses Plaid Technologies, Inc. to connect to your financial institutions. By connecting your bank accounts, you agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. We store Plaid access tokens securely in our database to retrieve your financial data on your behalf. We do not sell or share your financial data with third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Railway's managed PostgreSQL database with encryption at rest. All data transmission between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your personal and financial information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

• Plaid: To connect and retrieve your financial account data
• Clerk: To manage user authentication and identity
• Stripe: To process subscription payments
• Anthropic: To power AI-generated financial insights (transaction data is sent to generate responses but not stored by Anthropic)
• Legal authorities: When required by law or to protect our rights

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal and financial data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Disconnect your bank accounts at any time through your dashboard
• Cancel your subscription at any time
